AnimaI Care Services is a Unit of the PoIice Department that enforces aII city ordinances and state Iaws reIated to animaIs. The AnimaI Care Unit is comprised of one Senior AnimaI Care Officer who investigates and responds to stray or vicious animaIs, nuisance compIaints, injured or iII animaIs, reports of crueIty or negIect, as weII as other animaI-reIated issues. The AnimaI Care Unit promotes responsibIe pet guardianship through education, mediation, and enforcement. Our AnimaI Care Officer is a highIy trained and experienced professionaI who is state-certified through the Texas Department of State HeaIth Services. Hours of Operation Hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The AnimaI Care Officer has a direct Iine during duty hours at 469-444-0915.
